Apparent Insignificances

Apparent Insignificance is a series of images taken during quarantine due to Covid-19. They all happened in my apartment in São Paulo, Brazil, and they reflected this period of a contemplative state of mind when the time seemed suspended. It is a diary about isolation during this time.

Led by this contemplative mood, my gaze reconfigures the sense of the simple, a vacant place of silence, a harmonic cadence that registers apparent insignificance.

The rarefied morning light announces a new day that sneaks in through the window, creates specular games as it moves through the curtain weave to illuminate our intimacy warmly. There is an infinite beauty that pulsates in the tiny details that we usually take for granted on our regular daily routines. The images capture this sensation that throws me into an ethereal, delicate, and melancholic atmosphere.
